Coach phil has lived for 10 years in California.
He began coaching at 19 years old in France and has 25 years of coaching experience in middle and long distance, road racing and race walking, from beginner to World-class level athletes.He was one of the first coaches to experience coaching online, sending programs to his professional athletes.
He ran and competed for 16 years from 800m to 5km.
He has also coached Cross-country and Distance in High Schools and Community Colleges in the Bay area, as well as sprint, swimming and soccer, and worked on Physical conditioning in many sports.
He has coached the San Jose City College Cross-country and Distance Track team.
Coach is a certified PE teacher in France.
He is a USATF level II (2009) certified coach and French Track and Field Federation level II certified coach as well, and hold a California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) « E » licensed Certified coach (2008)
Coach Phil graduated with a Bachelor in Physical Education and another one in Law from France.
During his coaching career, Coach Phil has been successful at coaching beginners, high school students, collegiate and professional athletes.
He considers Physical conditioning as the biggest challenge for runners and race walkers as it is improving their speed and strength, and decreasing the risk of injury.
His latest achievement was being the USA Head-coach at the 2010 World Race walking cup in Chihuahua, Mexico.
He is always looking at new researches about training, diet, recovery, and physiology to improve his knowledge and experience
